Berlin, Fall 2009

The Berlin collages touch upon the underlying divisions that still exist in Berlin 20 years after the wall came down and the city was unified. They are constructed from fragments of photographs taken by the artist at various locations around Berlin and from maps and transit systems detailing the political boundaries of the city during the Cold War.
